I just wanted to say how wonderful it is to have Tyler in our lives. He is so special. I have the priviledge of watching him on Fridays. I can't wait to see what he has in store for me. [more]

Ty had his six month check-up yesterday.... he's 28 inches long and 20.13 lbs. 95 percentile. The doctor said he's the size of a 13mth old - guess we knew he'd be a big kid since his father is 6'4 and I'm 6'1. Found out he has 4 more teeth on the way. Was told to start a napping schedule...which he took to like a king... fell asleep in his crib within 5 minutes today (we'll see how tomorrow goes). As always, I think I was more upset about the shots than he was. Over the next few weeks, we'll be starting stage 2 foods... with soft puff cereal and/or cheerios on the table within a month or two. I can't believe it. They really do grow up so quickly. [more]

The bug's got teeth! Our little boy is growing up so fast. 4 days before he turns 6 months his two bottom teeth popped out.
He was a champ though....barely knew something was up. More to come next week as his 6 month check-up is scheduled for next Friday. [more]

Christmas tree hunting with my dad!

Went out to Highfields Plantation today to hunt and cut down our very own christmas tree. It was a bit brisky, but we were all wrapped up warm. Tyler did great and Jack loved being outdoors. Found a couple we liked right off the bat, but our final choice was way in the back. What a day! [more]

Tyler got his first taste of Thanksgiving dinner yesterday...mashed potatoes, squash, and poppi's homemade applesauce. YUM!
Tyler also got an early xmas present from his mimi and grampi... a chico high chair. Not fun I know, but extremely helpful. Since he's eating solids and scooching around like crazy they thought it might be useful now. He seems to enjoy it.

Rolling over

Tyler rolled over for the first time last weekend (11/20/10) at only 4 1/2 months old. He's now trying to get the logistics down on how the arms work in conjunction with the legs to move forward. So far he's been doing a lot of push ups and sticking his cute butt in the air. Gigi seems to think he'll be crawling before Christmas... guess we'll just have to wait and see. Tyler is also holding his bottle all by himself. He's getting used to solid foods as well... definitely has a distinguished palate. Two thumbs up for pears, mashed potatoes, and applesauce. Could live without squash and sweet potatoes. Loved and I mean loved carrots... we'll see if that continues. I know I'm biased, but he's awesome! [more]

So, Uncle Steve and Aunt Ashley came back from their honeymoon with tons of presents for Tyler. The cutest of all, his very own disney ears (complete with his name stitched on the back). They are a bit large yet, but that just means he'll be able to grow into them and possibly wear them when we get down to Disney as a family. Too cute. Thanks Ash & Steve. [more]
